How to Reset Your Drury Account Password

Applies to: Anyone with a Drury account who has forgotten their password or is locked out. Requires that you've already registered security info (phone, authenticator app, or alternate email) with your account.

If you've forgotten your Drury password or are locked out but still know it, you can fix either one yourself using Drury's self-service password reset tool — no need to contact the Help Desk.

Step 1: Go to the Password Reset Site

Open your browser and navigate to passwordreset.microsoftonline.com.

Step 2: Enter Your Account Information

  • Enter your Drury email address (e.g., username@drury.edu) and the characters shown on the screen.
  • Click Next.

Step 3: Choose Why You're Here

On the "Get back into your account" page, choose the option that matches your situation:

  • I forgot my password – Reset your password using your registered security info.
  • I know my password but still can't sign in – Unlock your account without changing your password.

Step 4: Verify Your Identity

Choose a verification method you've already set up:

  • Authenticator app
  • Text message
  • Phone call
  • Alternate email

Step 5: Reset or Unlock

If you selected "I forgot my password": create a new password that meets Drury's password requirements.

See the full list of requirements here: Drury Password Requirements.

If you selected "I know my password but still can't sign in": your existing password will remain the same — this option only clears the lockout.

Step 6: Sign In

Use your new (or existing) password to log in to:

  • Email (Outlook)
  • OneLogin
  • MyDrury
  • Other Drury services

Note: If you changed your password and use a Drury-managed laptop off-campus, your laptop won't recognize the new password right away. See our laptop password sync guide for the fix.

Troubleshooting

None of my verification methods are available
If you no longer have access to your registered phone, email, or authenticator app, submit a ticket so we can verify your identity another way.

New password is rejected as "doesn't meet requirements"
Review the password requirements — a common issue is reusing a recent previous password.

Still can't sign in after resetting
Wait a few minutes for the change to propagate, then try again. If it still fails, submit a ticket.

Still stuck? Submit a ticket and we'll get you connected.
